this excitement is because of one quarterback. Lamar Jackson, is disrupting the NFL by creating by being a proficient thrower and proficient runner.
But Lamar almost didn’t make it. Success was a longshot and Lamar Jackson knew it. Depending on which team select him would determine his future in the NFL.
When the Media first started analyzing Lamar Jackson for the 2018 NFL Draft Scouts, Coaches, Media and executives thought Lamar would fail. As a quarterback, in particular,

The Ravens saw an opportunity to create an electric offense with Lamar Jackson, due to the former General Manager Ozzie Newsome.
After The Ravens selected a Tight End Hayden Hurst in the First round. The Ravens traded up for another first round pick to grab Lamar Jackson. It was unclear why the GM did this – it could have been because of a lack of high production from Joe Flacco, costs, or pressure from their divisional rivals like the Browns who selected Baker Mayfield in the first pick of the 2018 draft or the fact that Ben Roethlisberger is around. Either way, the Ravens were getting crushed by the media for the lack of production ever since Ray Lewis retired.
Lamar came into the picture when the GM was leaving. 2018 was a big year for Baltimore
The Ravens made its official appearance in the playoffs due to an amazing start from Lamar Jackson. ,
He was fast and electric. But there were quality issues in the offence and a lot of questions on how the offence should be run. After losing to the first round by the Chargers.
The Ravens ousted their offense of coordinator Marc Treasment. Th’ Ravens realized in that offense that Lamar Jackson is the future so they built the offense around him and provided him a unique coach Greg Roman, who helped Colin Kapernick to make it to the SuperBowl as a duel threat QB. Since, Ravens was running out of money and Lamar Jackson was still on his rookie deal, the Ravens made a trade in the mid-season of the 2019 season to acquired Marcus Peters from the LA Rams. The start of the 2019 season the Ravens came out the gate swinging with their new rookie wide receiver Hollywood Brown and the Ravens looked like the Ravens on both side of the field. The Ravens became the most feared and watched team in the 2019 season, every week watching Lamar Jackson became very exciting. The play that grabbed America’s attention was when Lamar ran the football against the Bengals and scored TD and the way he ran the Ball was so different than Michael Vick, and Colin Kapernick and other QB to name a few. The Ravens made it to the Playoffs in 2019 to only losing to the titans. It was a tough lost for the Ravens at home. Lamar began to be hard on himself that he said he will forgo any contract negotiations until he win a SuperBowl. Now in the 2020-2021 season the Ravens returned with his eyes focused and the Ravens ended up having a good season and followed by beating the Titans at their home in the playoffs. The common theme about Lamar Jackson is that ever since he started as the quarterback, he has always delivered for the Ravens, despite playing in the 2021-2022 season Lamar Jackson went above and beyond by putting the team in his back. Even in a down year, Lamar Jackson was still electric and still the reason why the Ravens are regarded as one of the most feared team to play. As a defender you don’t know what to expect, one moment Lamar is throwing a middle pass to Andrews and another moment he is running pass you. More and more QB will become more like Lamar Jackson in the future. Lamar has never ever given up. It’s hard to stay consistent as a QB in the NFL,
