MetaFoundry – The New Creative Heart of the Metaverse

MetaFoundry – The New Creative Heart of the Metaverse

MetaFoundry, a virtual community for gamers, artists and content creators, launches on Kickstarter.

Aug. 21, 2022 / PRZen / BROOKLYN, N.Y. — MetaFoundry is a fully immersive 3D VR environment where users (as avatars) can conceive, create, buy, sell, share, import, export everything they make. An island city with resalable virtual land where creators, big and small, can set up shop and hang out a shingle, so to speak. Live performance venues are part of the plan, to attract established and emerging musical artists and entertainers. Public areas for recreation, relaxation and exploring will provide a balance to the commercial aspect. MetaFoundry will be a hub of virtual trade in the Metaverse, like Carthage in the ancient world. A thriving city where commerce, creativity, recreation and technology meet.

MetaFoundry will be connected to the Hyper Grid, allowing traffic and connectivity from multiple points of entry in the Metaverse. Travelers from other grids will be able to enter through portals, where they will be able to buy avatars, apparel and accessories and export them to other games or grids, or use them right away in MetaFoundry.  It embraces and embodies a Metaverse that is inclusive and open to all. MetaFoundry will belong to the people who create and use it, not huge corporations. Although, corporations and game companies are welcome.

MetaFoundry is a one man operation looking for funding to grow into a larger company which is why it’s debuting on Kickstarter. The creator, Alex Aurichio, has been an internet artist, gamer, content creator and merchant for over 20 years, as well as a 42 year veteran of the NYC film industry. He’s created fantastic environments in Second Life and OpenSim, as well as participating yearly in Burn2 (the virtual sister event to Burning Man, that takes place in Second Life every October).

“I’ve been creating virtual worlds and doing business in the Metaverse for years and I’m excited to see what I can do with funding and a creative team. I’m the little guy swinging for the fences on this, but I have the knowledge and experience to make it happen. I began working with computers in the early 1980s and watched the internet take shape as it arose. Technology has changed decade after decade, and we’ve come a long way since the first MMORPGs. I can’t wait to see what’s next,” said Alex Aurichio, creator of MetaFoundry.
