Techwave Launches Seed to Table Initiative

The Seed to Table initiative aims to eradicate world hunger and improve the nutritional status of struggling children and families

HOUSTON – September 5, 2022 – (Newswire.com)

Increase in food prices is devastating the poorest, and it’s time to acknowledge that hunger continues to exist and take steps to eradicate hunger. Techwave, a leading global IT and Engineering solutions company, has launched the ‘Feed The Need’, an end-to-end hunger relief program that aims to tackle the hunger crisis in local communities. Techwave volunteers contributed eight pallets, 1,600 bags, 8,000 pounds, 6,667 meals, and 90.17 hours to the local communities (equivalent to 5,410 meals).

To combat hunger and provide food to local families in need, Techwave joined forces with America’s Grow-a-Row, a hunger-relief organization in their Seed to Table Initiative. Under this program, the associates participate in all aspects of the food chain, including sowing seeds, harvesting crops, and shipping and distributing food to local families in need. A full range of expenses, including seed, time for managing the crop, packaging, and transportation, is covered by Techwave.

Speaking on the Initiative, Mr. Raj Gummadapu, CEO, Techwave said, “Our mission is to feed the need and provide fresh, healthy produce to children and families, and America’s Grow a Row Seed To Table Program Initiative is the ideal way to accomplish the goal. From farm to table, we cover the entire distribution process. Every step of the process, from planting to harvesting to packaging and sending a refrigerator trailer to Feeding America, Houston, is carried out by our associates. We believe we will be able to be a helping hand by producing change and reducing famine & food insecurity with this effort.”
