2022 MTUG I.T. Summit and Tradeshow on Thursday, May 26, celebrates 35 years of Maine Tech Events<\/a><\/p>\n

Join the nonprofit Maine Technology Users Group as 400 tech professionals from across New England enjoy 12 competitively-selected workshops and a tradeshow of 50 exhibit booths. Sessions and vendors touch on a variety of tech sectors including cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, DevOps, managed services, telecom, collaboration, and much more.<\/b><\/p>\n

May 7, 2022 \/ PRZen<\/a> \/ PORTLAND, Maine \u2014 The nonprofit Maine Technology Users Group (MTUG) invites IT professionals, managers, and technology enthusiasts from all industries and sectors to the 2022 Information Technology Summit and Tradeshow on Thursday, May 26th, 7:30am-4pm, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, 88 Spring Street, Portland, Maine.<\/b><\/p>\n

The MTUG IT Summit and Tradeshow is Maine\u2019s largest business technology conference with 12 educational sessions, 50 vendor booths, and ample time to explore a broad range of IT topics, products, and services. The event draws 400 IT professionals and decision-makers from across New England.<\/p>\n

Workshop tracks include Security, IT Infrastructure, \u201cDisruption\u201d, and IT Workforce Development. Topics will include: SDWAN, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint security, Security and Privacy in legacy IT systems, Lessons from the Okta Breach, AWS deployment, Discussion of MITRE Security Tools, the Disrupted Hybrid Workspace, Recruitment & Retention strategies, and more. Presenters come from an array of industries, including business services, supply chain, education, finance, marketing, and government services.<\/p>\n

Keynote Bill Pierce, CIO of The Jackson Laboratory will present \u201cAgility and Resilience in an Age of Complexity\u201d, harnessing his deep understanding of analytics, technologies, and organizations to help enlighten our path through increasingly complex and volatile times. After the Keynote, MTUG and the University of Maine Foundation will recognize the sponsors and awardees of the MTUG CoSponsored Tech Scholarship Program. Since 2012, the program has raised\/donated over $100,000 in scholarships to UMaine system tech students.<\/p>\n

Admission is $55 \u201cearly rate\u201d by 5\/13, $60 Advance and $65 on the event day. Special rates available for students in technology programs, and active \/ retired military. Fee includes workshops, tradeshow floor access, continental breakfast, lunch, and door prizes. Proof of vaccination and masking may be required per policy posted on event page.
